Pregnant with #2

baby footprints Pictures, Images and Photos
We are pleased to announce that we are expecting baby #2. Our official due date is July 8, 2009. I am 11 weeks 1 day and we heard the heartbeat for the first time today. I haven't been sick at all, just nauseous but that has passed now too. Ethan is excited for his baby sister to arrive (We don't know what we are having yet but Ethan says it will be a girl and he always gets what he wants!!) We should know in February whether it will be a boy or a girl.

What we have been up to!

Halloween was fun. We went to our ward's trunk or treat with Kim, Tiffany and kids. Ethan loved getting candy.

Deacon and Ethan

Ethan showing off his muscles. Jeremy and I took him trick or treating around our neighborhood on Halloween along with my parents. He went up the houses all by himself. He was so cute. He didn't want to wear his mask though.

I took Ethan and my nephew Aiden to the zoo a few weeks back. They had so much fun.

We are all settled in the new house. Paint is up in most of the house. We are looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas and cooler weather.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Backstreet's not back!!

Our Backstreet Boys concert was cancelled hours before the show because poor Nick was sick. My mom and I were so disappointed. We drowned our sorrows at Texas Roadhouse. Guess we will have to catch them next tour!

Backstreets Back Alright!!

Guess who is coming to town November 21st??
My mom and I have waited for this day for a long time. We have gone to their last 2 tours and also saw Nick when he went on his solo tour. The last time we saw them was August 26, 2005! I was almost 10 months pregnant at the time and gave birth to Ethan 6 days later. We can't wait!!

Why men shouldn't go grocery shopping

I was making enchiladas last night (8x8 pan) and realized I had gotten red chile sauce instead of red enchilada sauce. Jeremy was on his way home from work so I had him stop at Walmart to grab the right stuff. He came home with this (on the left). A 6 lb 6 oz can!

His explanation was that I asked for the larger can. I meant the size larger than the soup can. I wanted the 1 lb jar on the right. He must have been on the bulk isle!! What am I going to do with 5lbs of enchilada sauce? He said I should be happy he went to the store at all. Men!

Ok so jaime ALWAYS gets her stories twisted all around when her exact words to me were and I quote " Get the BIG one " thats all I have to say I got the BIG one and she says its my fault. Women just dont know what they want that is the problem.

Ethan's Pirate Party

Ethan has been dying to have his party. We had a pirate theme. I decorated his cake (like I have done for each of his birthdays). It wasn't my best job but I think it was still good and Ethan loved it so that's all that really matters.

Making the cake
The table and presents
ARRR!! Pirates!
The pinata and blowing out candles!
Presents with Mom and Dad

We love you Ethan!! You are our favorite boy kid!!

Have you seen me??

Woody got out late Friday night. I left the gate open accidentally after I went to throw something away. We didn't realize he was gone until about 10:30pm. Thankfully Bailey didn't follow him out. We drove around for 30 minutes but couldn't find him. Jeremy got up and looked again for another hour on Saturday. We had to go to Casa Grande for a baptism so we couldn't look for him again. My mom, Kim and Ashley spent hours looking for him, going to animal shelters and searching online for him. Luckily, we got a call this afternoon that someone had finally found him. He didn't go far but we are lucky to have him back. I have had Woody for over 10 years. It just won't be the same without him!!

Guess who is potty training?

We started potty training last Saturday. He has done pretty well. He hasn't worn a diaper in over a week, even at night! He still has accidents during the day and once or twice at night. He doesn't like to poop in the potty but with some forcing and a few hours, he will go. How can we fix that? He also will just pee on the floor without telling me he needs to go. Is this just still part of the learning process or are we missing something? Suggestions ??

Feeding the Quack Quacks

I told Ethan we would go feed the ducks Saturday and he loved it. He would throw bread to the ducks and then eat a few bites himself. Thankfully he didn't fall in but he scared me a few times chasing the ducks and birds back into the water!

Update on the House

We finally have a closing date!!! August 28th. We have waited for this day for 9 long months and can't wait to get out of this rental house and into our own home. It will be a busy few weeks as my 29th birthday is the day before our walk through and we move right before Ethan's 3rd birthday, Jeremy's 34th birthday and family coming into town.

Our 4th of July

We had a great weekend. Thursday we went to Amazing Jakes and Ethan went bowling for the first time. He almost beat Jeremy!! I won of course. Jeremy blames his loss on the lack of air conditioning in the building.

On Friday, we went to Dan and Krista's. We went swimming, played cards, ate and went to see the fireworks. They didn't end up starting until 10. By then, Ethan was ready for bed and he screamed the entire way back to Krista's and then all the way home. He finally stopped about a block from the house when he passed out for the night.

Family Night-sorta

Ethan and I went to see this:

While Jeremy went to see this:

We went as a family the night Kung Fu Panda came out but Ethan fell asleep about 15 minutes into the movie so we had to go see it again. Jeremy went to see the Hulk. I owed it to him as I scrapped the side of my car against a concrete pole at work today and he was kinda mad at me. Oh well, we can get it fixed at the same time they fix the side runner I scrapped on a metal pole driving into the parking garage at work. Hey, those are the only two things I have done to that car in 5 years so I think it is a pretty good track record.

Ethan played on the toys and ran through the water at the San Tan mall while we waited for Jeremy's movie to get over. I would have taken pictures but Ethan threw this 6 month old phone into the pool at grandma's house the other day. Thankfully, Jeremy can get me a replacement for free. Thanks Verizon.

We finished off the night with a butterscotch dipped cone from DQ. Go see Kung Fu Panda!! We will definitely be buying it when it comes out on DVD.
