Progress on the new house

The house is coming along. We were originally planning to move in July (our lease is up in July) but delays came up and Richmond American said it will August before it is done. I extended our lease one more month and now Richmond is saying it could be July again. I just want to move already. Here are the recent pictures!

CVS-I am addicted!!

I have now become a CVS addict. My sister Tiffany started doing this a few weeks back and I was skeptical at first. Who needs 20 deodrants, 20 toothpastes etc? Why would I pay money for these just to get the CVS bucks back? I should just pay out of pocket for the things I need. How wrong I was!! Yes, my first trip was $14 OOP (OOP=Out of pocket) but I earned $14 in Extra Care dollars (which can by used on anything in the store. But since that inital purchase, I don't think I have paid over $4 OOP. I try to buy the products that earned bucks that I know I will actually use so I don't have stuff just sitting around the house. The goal is to buy products that earn bucks and find a manufacture coupon to pair with it so you actually earn more dollars than you spend. So far, it has worked well.

My latest trip cost me $1.50 OOP. Here is what I got!
1 Gillette Razor reuseable(Shelf Price 9.99)
2 Degree deodorants (Shelf Price 5.00)
2 Dove deodorants (Shelf Price 5.00)
13 bags CVS candy (Shelf Price 11.44)
Bucks earned from this trip=$12.00
Bucks left to spend=$5.00
Total cost $1.50 Total Shelf Value=$31.39

Jeremy is brand loyal but now he is going to have to use whatever earns bucks!! Jeremy thinks I am a freak now because I try to find a coupon for anything I buy.
I went to Kmart last night because their MaxFactor makeup was Buy one get one free. Well, I had a manufacture coupon for Buy one get one free also which means I only have to pay sales tax. I was able to get two pressed powders normally $8.99 each for less than a dollar. Shelf price for two=$17.98 I paid less than a dollar total.

My name is Jaime and I am addicted to bargains, CVS and coupons!

Memorial Day

We didn't have big plans for Memorial Day this year. Jeremy had to work. Ethan and I went swimming over at grandma's with Tiffany, Wyatt and Aiden. He loves swimming. I made ribs, corn on the cob and rolls for dinner. It was so good. Here is a video of Ethan eating his corn.

Ethan loves Water

Ethan was outside playing with his pool and the hose while I was working on stripping the table I have been working on. Here are some cute pictures of him!

Happy Anniversary

On May 12th, 2007, Jeremy and I were sealed to each other and Ethan. Now we get to celebrate two wedding anniversaries each year which means two presents! We started out dinner at Fleming's Steak House. I have eaten at Ruth's Chris several times but I have to say the steaks were better at Fleming's. Jeremy also loved their chipotle mac and cheese. Dessert was a molten lava cake which we finished in about two seconds. So freaking good and well worth the $130 bill. We were going to go to a movie afterwards but ended up at Toy's R Us instead buying more stuff for Ethan as usual. Jeremy got me an Ipod shuffle. I can't wait to load all the Backstreet Boy's songs on it!! I got Jeremy stuff for the Wii. He got a steering wheel, a sports pack which has a real bat, tennis racket and golf club, Mario Kart game and an off road game. He already started playing with it all last night. Thanks to mom and dad for watching Ethan overnight for us. Of course, he went to bed early and slept in for them!

I am a winner!!

I blogged a few weeks ago about a Moms giveway toy contest. Guess who won???? Me!! I won the Mega Excersaucer Farm Toy!! Can't use it right now since we don't have a baby but I still love winning.
