We had a great Christmas. Caitlin surprised me by sleeping from 9:30 to 5:30!! My mom and dad spent the night with us. Ethan loved all of his presents. His favorite presents were the easel from grandma and grandpa, his Powerwheel Jeep and his Superman and Batman cape I made. Caitlin loved her teething toys and his first Cabbage Patch doll. We had homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast and called Lindsay in Kansas to see if Santa made it there. We went to Kim's to check out their gifts and then over to Krista's for cards and more food. We had a fun Christmas and look forward to what 2010 has in store for us.

Christmas Eve 2009
We had Christmas Eve at the Montgomery's house. We had good food! The kids did a gift exchange and we opened presents from my mom and dad. The adults did a movie exchange as well. We came home with Nightmare on Elm Street 1,2,3 and 4 (Thanks Mom and Dad!) and You, Me and Dupree. I checked in the on the boys and they were pretending to play rock band. They were so cute! Check out Ethan's pose!

Ward Christmas Party
We went to our Ward Christmas Party earlier this month. It was the Polar Express. Every kid was given a ticket from the train conductor. We had yummy soup and homemade bread. The kids rode (walked) the polar express to a spot they had set up to read the story. Santa finally showed up and gave everyone a bell. Ethan didn't cry with Santa this year but I had to be right next to him. He told Santa to bring him something cool. Caitlin had no clue what was going on but had fun anyway.

Christmas baking
The sisters and mom got together for Christmas baking. We kept it simple this year with just sugar cookies, toffee and popcorn. Ethan liked to sneak cookie dough when I was off in the other room. Kirsten and Krista were naughty and gave Caitlin bites of an otter pop which she loved. Jeremy was the baby watcher and laid around while we slaved away in the kitchen.

Caitlin starts solids
Caitlin started solids two weeks ago. She was grabbing for anything we were eating. She loved it. She started with cereal and now has had sweet potatoes, carrots, bananas and green beans. She also likes to use a sippy!
